Scene group VAG have released the latest and fifth album from American singer/songwriter “Five for Fighting” aka John Ondrasik. I really like his song “Superman” from his previous albums. In May 2009, Ondrasik posted on his MySpace blog that the name of his forthcoming record will be taken from fan suggestions, and will be subsequently voted on to determine the winning album title. The first single from the new album, called “Chances”, was released on July 21, 2009 as a digital download. In September 2009, NBC is using a song off of Five For Fighting’s forthcoming album “Slice”, in one of their fall line-up promos. On September 22nd, 2009 the music video for “Chances” was released on VH1.com. The music video shows the story of two teenagers falling in love, while Ondrasik narrates (sings) to the story. The video was directed by Steven Drypolcher (Beyonce, Kanye West, Boyslikegirls) and produced by Partizan. The “Making of the Chances Music Video” is available on Amazon.com.

The new album from Shakira, titled “She Wolf” which has a release date of October 13, 2009, but October 9 elsewhere in Europe. Shakira’s brand new English album She Wolf is an uptempo pop album. It is all about synthesizers and electronical concepts, all mixed with the world sounds that we are used to from Shakira.. sounds from countries like India, the Middle East and her home country of Colombia. She Wolf features a predominantly English track list with a follow up album of new and unique repertoire in Spanish to come in 2010. The title track “She-Wolf ” boasts the infectious and energizing sound that made Shakira a household name, with a slightly more dancey/ electronic beat (about 125 beats per minute). Though most tracks on the upcoming album will be in English, Shakira chose to service the Spanish version of the first single, “Loba”, two weeks before the English single is launched.
