58 වන සේනාංකයෙන් කොටින්ට දැඩි ප්‍රහාර,එල්.ටී.ටී.ඊ. පස්බැම්මේ කොටසක් හමුදාව යටතට

පුතුකුඩිඉරිප්පු වයඹ දිග ප්‍රදේශයට ඇතුළුවී සිටින 58 වන සේනාංකය කොටින්ට දැඩි ප්‍රහාර එල්ල කරමින් ඉදිරියට ඇදෙන අතර, මුලතිව් කොම්බාවිල් ප්‍රදේශයේ වූ කොටින්ගේ පස්බැම්මේ කොටසක බලය අත්පත්පත් කරගැනීමට ඊයේ (පෙබ. 22) සමත්විය. මෙහිදී එල්.ටී.ටී.ඊ. ය දැඩි ප්‍රතිරෝදයක් එල්ල කල අතර, 58 සේනාංකයේ භට පිරිස් සාර්ථකව ප්‍රතිප්‍රහාර එල්ල කරමින් ඉදිරියටම ඇදෙමින් සිටී. පුතුකුඩිඉරිප්පු ඊශාන දිගට වන්නට ඉරනපාලි ප්‍රදේශයේ උතුරේ සිට දකුණු පැත්තට පස්බැම්මක් ඉදිකර කොටි ත්‍රස්තයන් අවසාන ආරක්ෂිත ස්ථානය සකස් කර ඇති බව ආරක්ෂක වාර්තා සඳහන් කරයි. භට පිරිස් මේ වන විට පුතුකුඩිඉරිප්පු නගරය වටා මීටර් 400 ක් පමණ ඉදිරියට ස්ථානගතවී ඇති බව යුද බිමෙන් ලැබෙන වාර්තා සඳහන් කරයි. 58 වන සේනාංකයේ භට පිරිස් හා කාර්ය සේනාංක 8 හි භට පිරිස් එල්.ටී.ටී.ඊ. අවසාන බල ප්‍රදේශය වෙත සිය ආක්‍රමණ සිදුකරමින් සිටී.

Foreign jobs recruitment suspended

Association of licensed foreign employment agency has decided to suspend it recruitment of foreign jobs until 1st of March President of the Union Mr. W.M.P. Aponsu told 'Lanka-e-News'. He pointed out this action been taken due to the new insurance system assist by the Ministry of Foreign Employment Promotion and welfare. Which is to be seem illegal and non appropriate. Mr. Aponsu told, relevant to this insurance system many countries are look forward to avoid Sri Lankan employees that might be loosing heavy income of foreign exchange. Such action of those countries would have gain heavy lost of their individual business also. Mr. Aponsu also told they suspend their jobs recruitment to prevent this situation. Union said they demand that the government to stop this insurance system but nothing has happened yet. Mr. Aponsu also told the special meeting will commence tomorrow (24) to educate their members on this issue.

India Change their view over Sri Lanka

India's acting prime minister pranab mukherjee said that he is willing to have new dialog with the Sri Lankan Government on the issue of the civilians conflict in the north. Mr. mukherjee had made this remarks to journalist in west Bengal on 21st of February. Some political annalist gave their opinion about this Indian acting primers statement as a political twister. Because on 18th of February Mr. mukherjee had stated in parliament and ruled out any intervention to stop Sri Lankan military operation against LTTE and slammed them as a banned organization that had done much damage to Sri Lankan Tamil Community. The reason of this Indian policy shifted on the Sri Lankan issue would have directly influenced by the Tamil Nadu Political Tension that and growing anti sentiment are running high over the congress led government refusal to pressurize the Sri Lankan Government to stop the war against LTTE. Army recovered 58 LTTE dead bodies

The troops of the 58 division has been uncovered 58 dead bodies of LTTE cadres in 6 days army spokesman Brig. Udaya Nanayakkara briefs at the press conference held in Colombo yesterday (22). These bodies has been uncovered in Puthukuduiruppu. Ampalavanpokkanai and Udayarkattukulam areas, and on 21 of February, 58 division troops have been deployed to conduct offensive in the unclear areas and found 11 bodies of LTTE cadres and uncovered 11 of T-56 guns and one LMG weapon and many military Items. A large number of LTTE uniforms RPG weapons 01 LMG weapon 01 T-56 weapons 10 I-Com set 01 Radio set 01 MPMG weapon 01 Troops have also suffered damages during the incident. Troops of the 57 Division conducted a search operation in the Vishvamadu area on Saturday (21). A decomposed body of an LTTE cadres along with a large haul of war materials was recovered by the troops during this operation. LTTE attacked civilians in Inginiyagala village

12 killed 7 injured 12 people were killed and 7 were injured due to the attack of LTTE cadres in Inginiyagala Kanamatiyawa village in Ampara District yesterday (20) at around 5.30 PM Army spokesperson Brig. Udaya Nanayakkara told LeN. Among the victims are three women, six men, one female child and 02 male children. Meanwhile the number injured in the attack has risen from six persons to seven persons: two females including 01 adult and 01 child and five males including 04 adults and 01 child were injured in the attack. The injured have been admitted to the Amapra Hospital LTTE cadres have been open fire and throwing hand grenade at the people Mr. Nanayakkara remarks.

IRD building in Fort Colombo Sri Lanka damaged yesterday due to LTTE plane crash on to it. Several other buildings also have been damaged. Trance Asia Hotel, JMC Education Centre, Asian Pacific containers, Ceylon Teachers Union, Sri Lanka National Teachers Union, Peoples� Bank head quarters are among them. Director General of John Ambulance Service told 'Lanka e News' there damage cost about millions.

Army avoids heavy weapons to ensure civilian safety.
