Army destroyed LTTE armor plated-lorry: 34 LTTE cadres killed

53 Division troops with assistant of armor troops prevented an LTTE infiltration attempt through the Security Forces Forward Defence Line (FDL) in the south of Puthukudiyirippu yesterday (07) afternoon.

Thirty-four LTTE cadres in an armor-plated lorry were approaching the FDL at high speed when the troops assisted by armor tank fire destroyed vehicle killing all the cadres in side.
During subsequent such, troops found thirty-four dead bodies of LTTE cadres along with their weapons.
