Sea Tiger leader Susai killed?


Eleven prominent Sea Tiger leaders of LTTE were killed in an Air Force aerial attack and it is believed that the Sea Tiger leader Susai was among either the killed persons or the critically injured.

Army media spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara said that the Air Force launched the attack yesterday evening between 1.30 and 4.30 PM. Reports are coming from the area that Susai is missing now.

Sea Tiger leader Susai's real name is C. Sivanesan. He is a resident of Velvetithurai, Jaffna. He was trained in India in the first LTTE batch. Since 1983 to 1990, he was the Jaffna LTTE leader and in 1990 he was appointed as the chief of the newly set up naval wing of the LTTE. He sustained injuries in a boat accident in 2007 and his five year old son was killed in the incident.

Sea Tiger camps were located in Mullaithivu and Chalai. Army spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara said yesterday (06) at a media briefing that 20 Sea Tiger camps had been destroyed. All Sea Tiger camps have been destroyed now, he explained.
